Grape Vine 'Centennial Seedless' – White Dessert Grape (3L Pot)

'Centennial Seedless' carries long bunches of large, elongated seedless berries that ripen from pale green to golden white.

The fruit is crisp and sweet and is a table grape first and foremost, picked and eaten fresh in late summer. The vine is vigorous and deciduous, self fertile, and happiest trained along a south facing wall, a fence or a sturdy support. In cooler parts of the country it crops earlier and more reliably grown in a conservatory or greenhouse, and it will also grow in a large container.

The vine itself is fully hardy right across Britain, but hardiness and ripening are two different things: the grapes need a warm, sheltered, sunny spot, ideally against a south or west facing wall, to ripen properly outdoors. Give it well-drained fertile soil, water through the first season, feed in spring and mulch the base. Thin the bunches in summer if the vine sets heavily, which gives bigger and sweeter grapes. Prune in midwinter, December to January, while fully dormant.
