Grape Vine 'Exalta' – White Dessert Grape (3L Pot)

'Exalta' is a productive white grape carrying generous clusters of sweet, pale green fruit for the table or for home wine making.

It is a fast growing deciduous climber and self fertile, so a single vine crops. Train it along a trellis, pergola, fence, wall or arbour, where the foliage does as much work as the fruit, and it also grows well in a large pot or planter on a patio or balcony.

The vine itself is fully hardy right across Britain, but hardiness and ripening are two different things: the grapes need a warm, sheltered, sunny spot, ideally against a south or west facing wall, to ripen properly outdoors. Plant in well-drained soil in a sunny, sheltered, ideally south facing spot. Water while the young plant establishes and ease off as it matures. Prune every winter back to the permanent framework to keep it productive; without that annual cut a grape turns into an unproductive tangle.

Supplied as an established vine in a 3 litre root ball, ready to plant out or to pot on.

Grapes and vine leaves are harmful to dogs.
