Grape Vine 'Victoria' – White Dessert Grape (3L Pot)

'Victoria' is a productive white dessert grape giving sweet, aromatic bunches from late summer into early autumn.

It is a woody deciduous climber, self fertile, and takes well to training: pergolas, arbours, trellises, cordons and warm walls all suit it, and it will grow in a large container. Trained hard it stays manageable; left alone a grape will run to ten metres and stop cropping properly.

The vine itself is fully hardy right across Britain, but hardiness and ripening are two different things: the grapes need a warm, sheltered, sunny spot, ideally against a south or west facing wall, to ripen properly outdoors. Give it fertile, well-drained soil in a sunny, sheltered position. Water in dry spells but never let it sit wet, feed while it is in active growth, and prune every winter back to the permanent framework. Most varieties ripen through August and September.

Supplied as a large, well established vine in a 3 litre pot.
